Tar（タール）はShipwreckedで導入されたアイテムです。Tar SlickにTar Extractorを設置することで手に入れることができ、主に海上設備のクラフトに必要となります。Trawl Netで手に入れることもできます。
タールは地面にTar Trapとして設置することが出来る他に、焚き火や吸熱炉、Tar Extractor、Sea Labの燃料として使用できます。燃料として見ると非常に優秀で、一つで焚き火を最大火力、Sea Labなら燃料満タンにすることが出来ます。タールを抽出するTar Extractorに使えば実質リソースの消費無しで無限に生産することが可能です。

Tar trapはプレイヤーを含む全てのモブの移動速度を著しく減速させる可燃性の罠です。 Tar Trapはタールで補給することができ、その際は一つで全回復させます
