The Sawhorse is a Prototype station. When standing close to it, the players are able to access to Carpentry Filter to prototype wooden furniture and decorations. Player can also use the Sawhorse to craft Bunch o' Boards, a recipe that gives 5 Boards for 20 Logs.
The Sawhorse can be upgraded using a Moon Glass Saw Blade. Upgrading the Sawhorse will unlock recipes for crafting stone furniture. It additionally unlocks the Bunch o' Stone recipe, which gives 5 Cut Stone for 15 Rocks.
It is recommended to kill a Resting Horror in the Ruins while insane to get the Rare Blueprint for the Replica Relic Chair, since building one on the Hermit Island is the only way to get the Sawhorse Blueprint.
Alternatively, the Rare Blueprint for the Replica Relic Chair can also be obtained through the Ancient Chest; however, this process is often considered more complicated than killing a Resting Horror.
The Sawhorse makes a loud noise when a player is nearby, and as such it is advised to not have it in the main area of your base.
