The Celestial Revenant is summoned after the sixth Phasmo-Encapsulator is built on the Hermit Island, which happens either by giving six Phasmo-Encapsulators to the Grainy Transmission before defeating Celestial Scion or by having the player place them themself after defeating Celestial Scion. Its attack pattern is the same as phase 1 of Celestial Champion, with the only difference between the two fights being that Celestial Revenant has Planar Entity Protection, regenerates health, and deals 30 Planar Damage.
Behavior
Phasmo-Encapsulators can be used to encapsulate the corpse of the Celestial Revenant, creating a strongest version of an encapsulated Gestalt. If the player gives this Phasmo-Encapsulator back to the Grainy Transmission after encapsulating the Celestial Revenant, he will unveil W.A.R.B.O.T. and the Fulcronial Selector will appear.
After the first time a Celestial Revenant is defeated, the Grainy Transmission will appear and give the player a new Phasmo-Encapsulator.
If the energy is not captured in time, the Celestial Revenant will regenerate 2000 health and start attacking again. If not attacked, it will continuously regenerate 200 health every 2 seconds.
After giving the final Phasmo-Encapsulators to the Grainy Transmission, the Fulcronial Selector will appear and W.A.R.B.O.T. can be activated. Alternatively, if Celestial Scion has already been defeated, the player must instead build W.A.R.B.O.T. themselves using the final Phasmo-Encapsulator.
When the Celestial Revenant gets teleported or falls into water, it will teleport back to Hermit Island. It cannot be put to sleep nor frozen.
Fighting Strategy
Below is the number of hits it takes with each weapon to kill a Celestial Revenant when playing with characters with a default damage modifier. The Weather Pain, Brightshade Staff, and Bee Mine are not included due to their random natures. This table does not take into account the damage bonus gained from characters with a lunar or shadow affinity. It also does not take into account the 40% damage bonus Wendy gets from attacking the same mob as Abigail, Wanda's damage bonus with Shadow weapons (except for the Alarming Clock, which does accurately reflect that bonus), or Wolfgang's damage multiplier when he isn't mighty.
It takes 8 blasts with an Ice Staff to freeze Celestial Revenant, and it is immune to being put to sleep.
Trivia
- The Celestial Revenant appears because they got angry since the survivors caught other gestalts, with the Celestial Revenant attacking them to likely to stop the gestalt capturing and captivity planned by Wagstaff. Celestial Revenant's reason for aggression was mentioned on Rhymes with Play (June 12, 2025)
- One of the attacks of Celestial Revenant is a visual reference to child's tantrum. This was mentioned on Rhymes with Play (June 12, 2025)
