The Knabsack is an item exclusive to Don't Starve Together. It can only be crafted by Wortox after unlocking the "Knabsacker" skill, and requires 2 Silk and 4 Souls to craft.

Similar to the Shadow Reaper, it has a swing action, allowing players to swing it to pick up multiple items. Each swing can collect up to 400 stacks of items, regardless of stack size. For example, it can pick up 400 stacks of 40 Rocks (which won’t fit in an inventory or Krampus Sack) or 400 stacks of 1 Rock. A Knabsack has 200 uses. Each item stack consumes 1 use, but picking up more than 50 stacks at once still only costs 50 uses. For example, collecting 50 or 400 stacks both use 25% of its durability. At the same time, collecting just one item will not consume durability.

It can also catch critters that can be caught by a Bug Net. It can catch multiple critters in an arc, similar to how it picks up items. Each critter caught reduces durability by 5%, allowing it to catch up to 20 critters before breaking.

The Knabsack can also be used as a Weapon, with its damage depending on the number of occupied slots in the main inventory (excluding backpacks). Damage ranges from 13.6 to 34, reaching max damage when 11 slots are occupied (4 slots remain empty).

If Wortox has the Covetous Collector skill, the Knabsack's damage increases with the number of Souls in his inventory or Soul Jar, up to +100% at 100 Souls.

Prototype.png Tips

  • The Knabsack's variable damage only depends on how many slots in the player's inventory are occupied, not how many slots are full. This means that the player can use stackable items such as Cut Grass or Twigs to fill their inventory in order to maximize the Knabsack's damage.
