Turf Overlay is a type of turf that can be placed over over other turf. Same type of overlay turf can't be stucked, but different typed of overlay turf can be.

Sticky Webbing

For the item that could be obtained by digging up Sticky Webbing, see Removed Features.

Sticky Webbing is a overlay turf that spawns around Spider Den, Spilagmites and Shattered Spider Hole and slows 40% of the walking speed of all creatures (except Buzzards, Spiders and Webber). If the Spider Den or Spilagmite is destroyed, the webbing will quickly disappear.

Sticky Webbing can also be found in Sacred and Labyrinth biomes in the Ruins. The webbing found there has no associated Spider Den or Spilagmites, as it houses Dangling Depth Dwellers, which reside on the ceiling above. Although the nest cannot be attacked like the Spider Den or Spilagmite, it can be destroyed by burning an item in the middle of the webbing (Don't Starve icon.png only.) This will remove the sticky webbing soon after.

Pengull Breeding Ground

Pengull Breeding Ground is a Turf Overlay that was spawned by group of spawned together Pengulls. Once they reach their breeding ground, Pengulls will occasionally lay Eggs on it, hiding them if the player gets too close. Since there is no way to control where a Pengull breeding ground spawns, it is possible for the nesting ground to end up very near, or even at, the player's base. Pengulls will destroy any Walls directly between them and their nesting ground as they migrate, though they only "pass through" other structures such as Chests and Fire Pits.

The Pengull Breeding Ground is slippery. Players will occasionally lose their balance while moving on it, sliding in the direction they were moving for a couple seconds before falling over, stunning them for a couple more seconds. If a player stops holding the directional keys in time, they will not fall over.

Lunar Rift Floor

Once Lunar Rift spawns, the Turf around the Rift slowly gets covered by Lunar Rift Floor, and is inhabited by Grazers. Ryftstals also frequently appear around the Rift.

When a character stands on the Lunar Rift Floor, their Sanity is replaced with Enlightenment, similar to the surface of the Lunar Island and the inside of Moonstorms.
