The Personal Floater is an item exclusive to Don't Starve Together. If it is in the player's inventory or backpack when they fall into water, the Personal Floater can protect them from receiving the Drowning penalties to Maximum Health, Health, Hunger and Sanity.

Tips

• It's better to put the Personal Floater in the backpack instead of the inventory, because there is a chance that items in the inventory will drop when drowning. If it drops before player falls into water, they will still take the drowning penalty.

• The Personal Floater was added in the Hostile Takeover update.
