The Phasmo-Encapsulator is a tool introduced in the Hostile Takeover update. It can be used to encapsulate Gestalts, Grazers, or the Celestial Revenant. The recipe of Phasmo-Encapsulators gets unlocked after completely filling Hermit Island with 76 Substrate Extrapolators, and it can only be crafted at the Notional Fabricator.

The Grainy Transmission will give the player one Phasmo-Encapsulator after first time defeating the Celestial Revenant.

After encapsulating a Gestalt, Grazer, or Celestial Revenant, the item becomes a capsule-like item that can be given to the Grainy Transmission. He will then use it to make a Terramite or Warbler. A encapsulated Gestalt will turn into a Terramite and encapsulated Greater Gestalt or Grazer will turn into a Warbler. The Grainy Transmission will need a total of 6 encapsulated Phasmo-Encapsulators.

After giving the Grainy Transmission all 6 encapsulated Phasmo-Encapsulators, the Celestial Revenant spawns. After defeating the Celestial Revenant, Grainy Transmission appears again to prompt the player to capture it with another Phasmo-Encapsulator.

After giving the captured Celestial Revenant and all the 6 Phasmo-Encapsulators, the Fulcronial Selector will appear and W.A.R.B.O.T. can be activated.

Tips

• After defeating the Celestial Scion, the Grainy Transmission will be gone and no longer show up around the Notional Fabricator. The player has to deploy all six encapsulated Phasmo-Encapsulators around W.A.R.B.O.T. to summon Celestial Revenant. When holding the encapsulated Phasmo-Encapsulators, the projection of Warbler or Terramite will show where to deploy.
  • After defeating and encapsulating the Celestial Revenant, the player can give it to W.A.R.B.O.T. in order to activate Fulcronial Selector.

Trivia

• Phasmo-Encapsulators were added in the Hostile Takeover update.
• During the Hostile Takeover update beta, the Phasmo-Encapsulator cost an Enlightened Shard and 4 Scraps to craft.
  • Originally in the beta, the Grainy Transmission would not supply a Phasmo-Encapsulator after defeating Celestial Revenant for the first time. This was added later after players complained about the high crafting cost of Phasmo-Encapsulators.
  • During the beta, Mimicreeps could copy Phasmo-Encapsulators. They could then be used to capture Gestalts, bypassing the at-the-time high cost of seven Enlightened Shards when setting up the Enlightened W.A.R.B.O.T. boss fight.
