Something similar is posted on the hound's page in the "bugs" section. It's many of the bugs currently in the game. I also had an audio bug, I would hear the fire sound effect, that fire crackling you hear when something's on fire and nothing was. I kept searching for quite a bit and found nothing. It stopped like 4 days later when I set something else on fire. That was really weird. Were you playing with Reign of Giants dlc?

If you were playing RoG I find it hard to believe you were having problems with sanity. You built several "houndious shootiouses", survived to day 275 and still didn't find a glommer that rapidly boosts your sanity?
