Maybe they could replace normal hounds, instead of attacking, starting some kind of siege? Maybe killing and eating rabbits, eating berries off bushes, cutting down trees and destroying the resources, and taking food from farms? Replacing normal hound attacks rarely by coming in groups of 5-20, dead in one hit, but hits very hard. That could be interesting.
