I must be the luckiest person to play Don't Starve EVER. I died in the middle of winter and was waiting until winter ended to go get my stuff back because I don't plan ahead and had no way of staying warm away from my home, and just as winter was ending, the screen started shaking. I freaked out because that was literally the first time I'd ever encountered the Deerclops, and I had no way of fighting back or anything. I ran, but I ended up running in its general direction, and saw it for a second; it fortunately didn't see me, but it was headed in the direction of my house. A couple of days later (when summer came), I went back to see if everything was alright, and I discovered the thing had BARELY GRAZED the bottom corner of my house - if he had been ANY further north, he would have destroyed my winterometer, my rainometer, and probably my Shadow Manipulator.

I have been crazy lucky with that thing…
