Possible new table format

Although I added the new informations on the gift table and created the gold nuggets table myself, I feel like the current format is kind of ugly. I messed around with formating a little bit and tried something like that :

I think it looks better, but I asked some people around me who are not really knowledgeable about the game and they said the format we use right now is easier to understand for the layperson. I don't want to undercut easiness to understand to get things more esthetically pleasing, so I thought I'd ask people here too, just to make sure.

I'm also not entirely sure about the way the filler items, trinkets, and seeds chances are presented and if it's obvious what it means for anyone who could be reading this.

The current format is obviously easy to understand so this might be a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it", but I wanted to give it a shot at looking more professional. Quetiapine (talk) 02:43, 6 June 2022 (UTC)

I see what you mean about the current table being a bit ugly. However, I also see what your friends mean about the new format being a bit more confusing. I think some of the specifically confusing elements that could be remedied are:

• "Heavy amount" is a bit confusing verbage if you haven't read the preceding paragraph. If we replaced with text like "if fish is heavy" that would resolve some of that confusion and would be the same as the current table.
• The line that goes all the way across in the gifts that have "additional rewards" is confusing, beause it makes it look like there are two separate rows. It takes a mental minute to parse out, which is bad UX. However, if we were to somehow make the row line not appear at the beginning (that might be hard 😬) and add a text note (that should be easy!) that says something like "Additional chance of:", I think it would help with a lot of the immediate confusion.

Thank you for your comments! I think you really pinpointed what was confusing about the format I tried to make. I went ahead and made the changes based on that. Maybe I got too excited, if it's bad we can always revert it...

Also, I saw your last edit and I have a small problem with it : the way things are worded now, I feel like it makes it seems like you can either give the King Freshwater Fishes or Eels to get gifts, or give him Ocean Fishes to get Gold Nuggets. In reality, Ocean Fishes will give you gifts AND Gold Nuggets... Might be "me" problem though, as I'm not a native english speaker
