You mean 2 weeks of game time, i.e. before day 14? It's pretty easy to avoid being poised within that time - just be careful when you chop trees / viney bushes. Poison glands drop fairly often - you should be able to get one after killing 7 poison snakes. Just hoard them as soon as you can, because you'll certainly need them during monsoon season when poison mosquitos creep up from out of nowhere in the middle of the night and infect you.
