The reason why Wilson is better suited for it is because he's normally on revive duty, so he's often running around the arena trying not to die, and if he casts the life blossoms on a dead teammate, it makes it easier for him to revive them. It's just easier to give Wilson both jobs, as the playstyle for healer and res are very similar, and there isn't always a Winona.
