For the cost this seems really inferior to the Snakeskin Hat. I tried wearing one to pick up Iron Ore from Thunderbird nests and it dies within seconds since each bird causes 3 strikes of lightning. It's much easier to just use a Snakeskin Hat or mine Iron Hulks for ore.
