To think that THIS is the source of Thulecite. After so many strong suggestions Thuleite is a product of hardened shadow fuel &/or trapped souls, the retcon of Thulecite originating from a lowly creature is rather disgusting. I'm saying that with the bottom of my heart.

Don't Starve has been given a rather scary story. None of the survivors will ever be able to get back home. All of these survivors (before they got together) were in an endless cycle of death and being reborn. Wilson, after taking pity on Maxwell, gets eternally trapped on the throne (as far as he knew). The survivors are given physical and mental trauma from Charlie's new entities.

If the Ancients' main source of Thulecite truly came from a lowly insect, it would just be disgusting of the story's integrity.
