unfortunately there is no way of recovering a lost world if you failed to make a backup copy of the saved file, save file location is:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\FLT\Steam\211670\remote\

it also happened to me once, i dozed off then suddenly woke up with the sounds of the night monster, i died and panicked, although i had 4 meat effigies on my camp, out of reflex, i suddenly closed the game, when i opened the game, my world was lost, it was at day 122, and my last backup was at day98
