鹽堆（Salt Formation）是多人版饑荒的獨有建築且在舊神歸來加入。 鹽堆是海洋中的固體障礙物。 當被船擊中時，鹽堆會對船造成傷害。 如果撞擊過猛，鹽堆也可能被摧毀。

鹽堆的形成分為三個階段。 開採最小或中間的階段會掉落1個鹽晶和1個圓石。 開採完整階段會掉落3+50％的鹽晶和1個圓石。 可以使用十字鎬來開採任意階段。 當鹽晶漂浮在水上時，一些岩石可能會沉入海洋，無法取回。 每個階段都能在7到11天內再生。
