鱼（Fish）是一种肉类食物物品，可以在池塘中钓到或是从鱼人身上取得，它能回复 12.5 饥饿值且可以一格可以堆叠到 40 个。鱼可以挂在干肉架上 1 天以取得小肉干，同时也是烹饪锅食谱中鱼排跟鱼塔可的必要材料。钓鱼（以及杀死火鸡）是不会提升玩家的罪恶值的，所以不用担心会引来坎普斯的注意。

不像是其他的肉类食物，生的鱼在吃下时并不会减少理智。.

烤鱼由将鱼放在营火、火坑或是星星上烹煮所成，比较大的不同点就是，烤鱼能回复的饥饿值和生命值跟生的鱼是一模一样的，唯一的好处就是拥有比较长的保存期，但是烤鱼没办法挂在干肉架上干燥，就像其他煮过的食物一样。

采集

透过在池塘旁使用钓竿可以取得，或是杀死鱼人（同时也会掉落青蛙腿），用锤子锤碎鱼人屋子也会掉落鱼。

在船难DLC中，用拖网在海里捕捞，有概率捞到鱼，而用鱼竿则只会钓到热带鱼。

在哈姆雷特DLC中，砸碎美味的鱼标本可以得到一条鱼，而翠鸟也会掉落鱼，但是这种鱼的外观有所改变，更像是鲤鱼。

淡水鱼（Freshwater Fish）在多人版饥荒中取代了鱼，这是旧神归来更新中的改动。杀死淡水鱼可以得到 1 个小鱼肉，将淡水鱼拿去烤可以得到 1 个烤小鱼肉。

如果沃特的物品栏有至少一只鱼，她可以每分钟 +3.33 。沃特或者其他戴着聪明的伪装的玩家可以和鱼人之王用鱼交换海藻、普通种子、作物种子、腐烂物、斑点触手皮和小饰品。鱼也可以放入鱼类计重器。

• 当特定的角色如威尔森检查鱼的时候，他会讲说：“这可以让我吃上一整天了。”，这是来自一个著名的俚语：“送人一条鱼他只能吃一天，教人去钓鱼他会终生受益（授人以鱼不如授人以渔）。”
• 当鱼在地面时，它会弹跳挣扎几下，然后才死去。
