饥荒联机版中独有的新的可合成建筑，在新王朝中引入游戏，可以在魔法类中找到。
它可以用来观察月亮周期，月亮的形状会映在建筑内的水面上。愈接近满月时，水位会愈高，满月时映月池会装满着水。它也可以根据月亮的状态作为光源使用，新月时映月池不会反射任何光线，而满月时光源会最强。晚上时，玩家根据月亮在不同的状态时检查映月池也会有不同的台词。
