破舊魚屋是能在沼澤中能找到的建築，它主要的目的就是提供可以讓魚人生成與居住的地方。破舊魚屋的外表和豬人屋十分相似，但似乎是在一個廢棄的完全狀態。而且玩家並無法製作破舊魚屋，這讓它成為非再生資源。
使用槌子摧毀破舊魚屋可以得到 2 顆圓石、1 片木板及 1 條魚。
DLC
在 船難 DLC，潮汐沼澤的破舊魚屋被魚人小屋代替。魚人小屋有更加海島的風格而且更加美觀。當魚人小屋摧毀時會掉落熱帶魚，除此之外兩者都一樣。
出生頻率
一棟破舊魚屋最多同時能夠保有 4 只魚人並且當魚人死亡時每 4 天補充 1 只。在白天時，每棟只會有 1 只魚人在外頭徘徊。當該魚人進入戰鬥或是魚屋被錘子敲到的話，則所有魚人都會傾巢而出加入戰鬥。並且當黃昏來臨時，所有的魚人都會跑出來亂晃。
