Restrained Static is an item exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in Return of Them. It is obtained by successfully aiding and defending Wagstaff in a Moonstorm from the hostile Misshapen Birds and Moonblind Crows. Doing so will cause the Moonstorm to cease and reappear elsewhere on the map.

One Restrained Static is needed to build the final stage of the Lunar Siphonator.

After defeating the Celestial Champion, replaying the quest will be faster. Wagstaff will create Restrained Static more quickly, and players will only need to track him 1–2 times.

Celestial Scion Defeated

This content is available only after activating the Lunar Rift
After defeating the Celestial Scion, Wagstaff will no longer appear in Moonstorm. Players can use Static Restrainer to catch Unrestrained Static to start the Moonstorm quest.

The Moonstorm quest remains largely the same. Various Wagstaff Tools will spawn during the event. When an Energetic Static begins shaking, it can be given any of the Tools. If a Tool is not provided in time, or if the Energetic Static is destroyed, another Unrestrained Static will appear somewhere within the Moonstorm.

The Restrained Statics obtained from this way have different appearance from those from Wagstaff but has the exact function and usage.
