The Accursed Trinket is an item exclusive to Don't Starve Together introduced in the The Curse of Moon Quay update.

Accursed Trinkets are received automatically any time a Powder Monkey is killed, unless the player is too far away. They cannot be dropped or transferred to any other storage container without being returned immediately back to the inventory effectively reducing the player by one inventory slot.

Curse

As more trinkets are obtained the player starts to slowly resemble a monkey and at ten trinkets the user fully transforms into Wonkey. In order to get rid of Accursed Trinkets the player can give Bananas to the Queen of Moon Quay. For every banana four trinkets will be taken. Once transformed the player needs to lose all the trinkets in order to transform back to their original character.

Tips

• It's possible to get rid of trinkets by dying next to Lureplant. They will be destroyed after some time within it.
• Another way to get rid of them would be dying in the caves and pushing every trinket off the edge of the map while in ghost form.
