Dreadstone is an item exclusive to Don't Starve Together. Dreadstone is primarily obtained by destroying the Cracked Pillars that bind the Nightmare Werepig. After mining away the outer Marble layer, the pillars are indestructible and can only be destroyed by the Nightmare Werepig's slam attack, which it only uses after losing enough HP. The Dreadstone can also be mined from Dreadstone Outcrop.

With the Shadow Courtier skill, Wilson can transmute 3 Pure Horrors into 1 Dreadstone, as well as transmute 1 Dreadstone back into 2 Pure Horrors.

Along with Pure Horror, Dreadstone is used to craft Dreadstone Helm, Dreadstone Armor and Dreadstone Wall. 5 Dreadstones can be offered to the Beckoning Hand after defeating the Ancient Fuelweaver to summon Charlie and permanently activate the Shadow Rift.
