The Trusty Tape is a Character-specific Item craftable only by Winona through the Tools Filter, Clothing Filter and Survivor Items Filter using three Cut Grass and one Silk. Winona also starts the game with three Trusty Tapes in her inventory.

It can be used to repair degraded clothing, similar to the Sewing Kit, repairing 5 days of degradation on the item on which it is used. Trusty Tape can also be used to repair Boat Leaks. It is required to craft Winona's Spotlight, Catapult, Generator, and G.E.M.erator.

Tips

• The Trusty Tape is a safer and much more affordable way to repair items, and should always be prioritized over other options:
  • Five pieces of Trusty Tape can fix the the same amount of items as a Sewing Kit, while using only 5 Silk instead of 8. Unlike 2 Hound's Teeth, 15 Grass can be gathered faster, easier and without putting the player in danger.
  • When planning for Boat sailing, Trusty Tapes are a good option alongside Boat Patches depending on which resource the player has more of: Trusty Tapes require Grass and Silk, while Boat Patches require Logs and Stingers, either of which may be more difficult to get depending on the world generation.

• After Winona's introduction, the Trusty Tape used to be found in the Dress Tab. This was changed in the Winona Character Update.
