The Brightshade Helm is a craftable head Armor exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in From Beyond. It can only be crafted while next to the Brightsmithy, requiring 4 Pure Brilliance and 2 Brightshade Husks to craft.

The Brightshade Helm has a Durability of 830. It absorbs 80% of received physical damage and 10 flat received Planar Damage.

An extra 10% protection is added after the initial 80% (total 82%) to physical protection from Lunar Aligned creatures. When combined with the Brightshade Armor, the total physical damage protection against Lunar Aligned creatures increases to 85%, as the extra protection added after the initial 80% becomes 25% instead of 10%.

Additionally, 10% Planar Protection is added before the flat Planar Defense against Lunar Aligned creatures. When combined with the Brightshade Armor, this bonus becomes 25%. This manner of protection is much more effective than the physical damage counterpart.

The Brightshade Helm also negates both the vision loss and slowdown from Sandstorms, Moonstorms, and Miasma, alongside pacifying Gestalts. It does not protect against the damage from Miasma.

When the Brightshade Helm is worn, the following bonuses are added.

• Prevents Charlie attacks when standing in darkness.
• Damage dealt by the Brightshade Sword, Brightshade Smasher and Brightshade Shoevel increases by +10% for physical damage and +5 flat planar damage.
• The Brightshade Staff's projectile bounces 6 times instead of 4.

When the Brightshade Helm's durability reaches 0%, it does not disappear; instead, it is unequipped and can no longer be equipped until repaired. It can be fully repaired by one Brightshade Repair Kit.
