Winona's Catapult is a character-exclusive Structure craftable only by Winona in Don't Starve Together. It is found in the Weapons Filter, Structures Filter and Survivor Items Filter and requires one Trusty Tape, three Twigs, and 15 Rocks to craft.

In order to work, it has to be within the area-of-effect of a powered Winona's Generator or a Winona's G.E.M.erator.

Winona's Catapult acts much like a Houndius Shootius: it will automatically attack mobs targeting the player or any mob that the player attempts to attack, except for Shadow Creatures. It attacks by flinging rocks at an arc towards its target, which means it can miss if the target is moving too quickly. Each rock deals 42.5 damage in a small radius, allowing it to hit groups of enemies.

Winona's Catapult can be attacked by Mobs and has 400 HP. The catapult repairs itself by 8.3 Health Meter.png every 10 seconds.

Despite what its attack suggests, the catapult does not need ammunition to work. It also cannot deal damage to Glommer, Chester and the Houndius Shootius.

Prototype.png Tips

  • A single Winona's Catapult, provided it can attack uninterrupted, will deal 1020 damage per minute.
  • A group of catapults can make an effective line of defense for a base if positioned behind several Walls. They are effective for hordes such as Hounds or other forms of mass farming, provided the player can consistently fuel the connected generator.
    • While it might sound effective against Bosses, it is only useful against those that will not cause structural damage: for example, it is questionable against the Deerclops, as it will tear through walls and other structures very easily.
    • Like the Houndius Shootius, catapults and a generator can be placed on a boat near the coast in order to cheese bosses if the player wishes to.

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • Winona's Catapult, alongside her other gadgets and the Engineering Tab, was introduced in her Character Update as part of the character overhaul for Don't Starve Together.
