The Clever Disguise is a character-specific Hat Item exclusive to Wurt in Don't Starve Together. It is crafted in the Clothing Filter and Survivor Items Filter using one Freshwater Fish, one Cut Reeds, and two Twigs.

Wearing the Clever Disguise allows a player to be considered a Merm by other Merms, King of the Merms and Bunnymen (allowing Webber and Wortox to not be attacked on sight by Bunnymen). It allow to tame Merms (not Loyal Merm Guards) and fill some Wurt structures such as Communal Kelp Dish, Armermry and Shoddy Tool Shed.

Trivia

• The Clever Disguise was introduced to Don't Starve Together in the Wurt Character Update.
• Much like it's counterpart the Shamlet Mask, the design of the Clever Disguise appears to be based on Groucho glasses.
