The Sanguine Experiment is a feature exclusive to the Hallowed Nights event in Don't Starve Together. It can be conducted at the Mad Scientist Lab, using a Mosquito and a Red Cap, and depleting 10 for the player. The experiment has a 66% chance to result in a Flask of Sanguine Mixture and a 33% to result in a Canteen of Sanguine Mixture.

Both potions restore the players' Health upon consumption and slowly over time. The Flask initially restores 8 upon consumption, while the Canteen restores 20 upon consumption. During the next minute, both potions restore 1 every two seconds, adding up to a additional restoration of 30 . Both potions can also be used as Fire Fuel.

Multiple potions are produced when crafting. For Flask potion, there is chance 20% to craft 3 of them, 60% to craft 4 and 20% to craft 5. For Canteen potion, there is chance 20% to craft 1 of them, 60% to craft 2 and 20% to craft 3.

Trivia

• The Mad Scientist Lab and all related craftable Items were introduced to the Hallowed Nights event in 2018.
• When Wormwood consumes either of these potions, he does NOT receive the initial 8 / 20 , but will still restore 1 every two seconds, resulting in a total restoration of 30 .
