Roe are a Meat Food Item introduced in the Shipwrecked DLC. They are left on the Ocean by Cormorants and can also be obtained by using a Trawl Net. Roe restore 1 Health Meter.png and 4.6875 Hunger Meter.png when eaten and take 3 Days to Spoil.

Roe can be Cooked in the Crock Pot, and counts as 0.5 units of Meat and 1 unit of Fish. Cooking Roe on a Fire will yield Cooked Roe. It can also be used to stock a Fish Farm.

Prototype.png Tips

  • Using a Trawl Net in shallow water during Mild or Monsoon Season has a good chance of yielding Roe.
  • Wearing a Feather Hat while sailing in shallow waters or near bird spawns (marked by a Seagull icon on the map) will increase the chance of Cormorants landing and dropping Roe. Feather hats can be won from the Slot Machine or crafted using Tentacle Spots dropped from the Quacken’s tentacles.

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • Roe was added to the Shipwrecked DLC more than a year after its official completion in the Home Sea Home update, after being tested in a beta branch for several months.
