Meaty Stew is a Crock Pot food item cooked by adding 3.0 units of Meats. It takes 15 seconds to cook. It is one of the most filling food items in the game, restoring an astounding 150 Hunger Meter.png.

Adding TwigsMandrakes, Tallbird Eggs, any sweeteners, or more than one Monster Meat will result in Kabobs, Mandrake Soup, Bacon and Eggs, Honey Ham, or Monster Lasagna respectively. Because of the high Meats value requirement and prohibition of multiple Monster Meat, at least 1 piece of normal Meat is required to cook Meaty Stew.

Meaty Stew fills a stomach significantly more than its components alone. As such, it boasts an incredible ingredient-to-output efficiency, rivaling Meatballs made with ice whilst not requiring any filler. It will completely fill the belly of all characters, except for Wolfgang, Webber, Warly, Wortox, Wanda, WX-78 (with either Gastrogain Circuit installed), and Wagstaff. To avoid wasting hunger value, it's best to hold off on eating Meaty Stew until a character is either starving, or about to (for instance, after sleeping).

Meaty Stew ties with Cooked Mandrake, Fresh Fruit Crepes, and Tall Scotch Eggs as the most belly-filling food in the game. While it lacks the health boost of the latter two and the small sanity boost of crepes, it does not require any limited, unrenewable or exceptionally rare ingredients and can be depended on as a staple food source.

In the Reign of Giants and Shipwrecked DLCs, Meaty Stew raises the player's perceived temperature by 1 degree per second for 15 seconds when consumed. However, this bonus effect does not apply in Don't Starve Together.

In Don't Starve Together, large Fishes and Leafy Meat count as 1.0 unit of Meat, therefore Meat is no longer a strict requirement for the recipe.
