The Flower Salad is a Vegetable Food item introduced in the Reign of Giants DLC. It is cooked in the Crock Pot by combining 1 Cactus Flower and 2.0 units of Vegetables, with Cactus Flowers contributing to Flower Salad's Vegetable condition. It takes 10 seconds to cook.

Adding 1 Mandrake may result in Mandrake Soup.

Flower Salad excludes any Fruits, Meats, Eggs, Sweeteners or Twigs, leaving only more Vegetables, Ice, Butterfly Wings or Birchnuts as filler.

Prototype.png Tips

  • Flower Salad can be made from Cactus Flowers, Cactus Flesh, and Ice. All three ingredients are renewable in Desert biomes.
  • In Don't Starve Together Flower Salad makes for an effective healing item rather than filling hunger or sanity, and is beneficial for those who need it when fighting the Antlion boss, as the Antlion spawns only during Summer, which is also the season in which Cactus Flowers grow.
  • Flower salad can be given to the Crabby Hermit for 1 additional friendship point

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • Wolfgang's examination quote for Flower Salad ("Is not spinach, but maybe still work!") may be a reference to Popeye the Sailor Man, who is known for his consumption of spinach that gives him great strength.
