The Potato is a Vegetable Food Item exclusive to Don't Starve Together. Potatoes can be Farmed by planting Seeds with a moderate chance of growing them, or by planting Potato Seeds.

When eaten raw, Potato restores 12.5 Hunger at the cost of 5 Sanity and 3 Health. It takes 10 days to spoil. It can be used as an ingredient in several Crock Pot recipes and is required for Creamy Potato Purée, Fancy Spiralled Tubers, Grim Galette, and Puffed Potato Soufflé. Feeding a Potato to a Bird in a Birdcage will produce 1 Potato Seed.

Roasted Potato is obtained by cooking an Potato over a fire. It restores 20 health instead of costing 3 health, deducts no Sanity, and restores 12.5 more hunger than a raw Potato. It takes 6 days to spoil. It has the same Crock Pot uses as its raw variant.

It is Wolfgang's favorite food and consuming it will restore 15 more Hunger Meter.png.

Potatoes are featured in The Gorge event in Don't Starve Together. They grow from Fluffy Seeds, which can be bought from Sammy for one Old Coin. A patch of four potatoes can be found already grown in the Swamp Pig village. A Potato can be made into a Roast Potato by being cooked at the Campfire next to the Swamp Pig Elder. Potatoes can be used in a variety of Cooking Recipes exclusive to The Gorge.
