IT IS SLIMY AND DISGUSTING

Seaweed is a Vegetable Food Item in the Shipwrecked DLC. It is harvested from Seaweed Plants in the Shallow Ocean or in Coral Reefs. Seaweed can be used in the Crock Pot and is also used in several crafting recipes. It can be dried on Drying Racks to acquire Dried Seaweed.

It has a weird texture.

Roasted Seaweed is a Vegetable food item acquired by cooking Seaweed on a Campfire, Fire Pit, Star, Chiminea, or Obsidian Fire Pit. It does not deduct sanity unlike its raw counterpart, restores a tiny bit more health, and takes longer to spoil. However, it cannot be used in the various Seaweed recipes, including the California Roll Crock Pot recipe.

Dried Seaweed

It sticks to the roof of our mouth!

Dried Seaweed is a Vegetable Food Item introduced in the Shipwrecked DLC. It is produced by drying Seaweed on a Drying Rack for 1/4 of a Day.

Dried Seaweed restores 3 Health Meter.png, 12 Hunger Meter.png, 10 Sanity Meter.png and lasts 20 days. In comparison, Cooked Seaweed restores same Health Meter.png, a bit less Hunger Meter.png and no Sanity Meter.png benefit and lasts half as long. Neither Cooked nor Dried Seaweed can be used for California Rolls, so its only use in the Crock Pot is as general Vegetable filler.

  • Since Roasted Seaweed restores 3 Health per plant consumed, eating them in bulk is an easy way to restore both Health and Hunger quickly due to their abundance.
