The Gunpowder Barrel is a naturally spawning object introduced in the Shipwrecked DLC. They can occasionally be found in the Ocean biome. Attacking them will cause them to ignite. The barrels explode 3 to 6 seconds after being ignited. The explosion deals 400 fire damage to the player and Mobs if they are within 6 range (1.5 tiles), and creates Big Waves.
