The Shadow Merm is a Merm that was corrupted by Wurt. All Merms that were loyal to a Wurt with the "Shadow Resurrection Merm" skill will spawn a Shadow Merm after death. These Merms can teleport near their target during a fight.
The player can use Pure Horror to replace the damage of all loyal Shadow Merms in range with planar damage. This buff will last 4 minutes. All Shadow Merms with this buff will display a red electric effect.
The Shadow Merm Guard is a Merm Guard that was corrupted by Wurt. All Merm Guards that were loyal to a Wurt with the "Shadow Resurrection Merm" skill will spawn a Shadow Merm Guard after death. These Merms can teleport near their target during a fight.

Loyal Merm Guards loyal to a Wurt with the "Sensible Swamp Fighter" skill will retreat from battle if they have less than 25% of their Health left and wait for their Health to be restored.
Wurt with "The King's Pauldron Quest" skill can give the Merm King a Marble Suit. If a Merm King with a Marble Suit exists, all loyal Merms with head armor will have 15% damage protection. This 15% protection works the same as Warly's Garlic Powder protection effect. Wurt will also have this effect, but with only 10% protection.
Wurt with the "The King's Crown Quest" skill can give the Merm King a Thulecite Crown. If a Merm King with a Thulecite Crown exists, all loyal Merms will learn to dodge. They will dodge in fights with 10 seconds cooldown. Wurt will also lose 5% less sanity from monsters.
Wurt with the "The King's Trident Quest" skill can give a Strident Trident to the Merm King. If a Merm King with a Strident Trident exists, all loyal Merms, as well as Wurt, will deal 5% more damage. All tamed Loyal Merm Guards also have 33% chance to use a triple attack, where each strike deals 26.3 damage.
