Wee MacTusk (also known as WeeTusk) is an aggressive Mob that spawns from Walrus Camps during Winter. Upon death, he drops 1 Meat. He controls the Blue Hounds.

Wee MacTusk is defenseless without his father and the Hounds; if they are killed, he'll run back to the Walrus Camp and won't come out until they respawn. If the Hounds are alive, he will stay to command them.

Below is the number of hits it takes with each weapon to kill a Wee MacTusk when playing with characters with a default damage modifier. The Weather Pain, Brightshade Staff, and Bee Mine are not included due to their random natures. This table does not take into account the damage bonus gained from characters with a lunar or shadow affinity. It also does not take into account the 40% damage bonus Wendy gets from attacking the same mob as Abigail, Wanda's damage bonus with Shadow weapons (except for the Alarming Clock, which does accurately reflect that bonus), or Wolfgang's damage multiplier when he isn't mighty.

It takes 2 blasts with an Ice Staff to freeze Wee MacTusk, and 1 Sleep Dart to put it to sleep.

Brain.png Behavior

MacTusk and Wee MacTusk are only active during daytime and, if not engaged, will return to their igloo at dusk. However, they can be forced out by attacking the sleeping Hounds. Although the Walrus Camp emits light at dark, the Hounds will attack anyone close by.

The group, being hostile towards almost any Mob, follows a nearby target; if one keeps walking away, they will not attack. When the leader, MacTusk, becomes hostile, he makes a slashing gesture, he then shoots and pursues the target, while Wee MacTusk commands the Hounds to attack. Both walruses will flee when approached.

Should MacTusk and Wee MacTusk die, the Hounds will attack freely until they respawn. If the Hounds are killed but MacTusk survives, he will come out the next day. Dead members respawn in 2.5 days.

Prototype.png Tips

  • Should one come across a dormant Walrus Camp, it would be prudent to set up defenses, such as Tooth Traps.

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • MacTusk N' Son was introduced in the A Winter's Tale update.
  • Both walruses share the same hunchback model as Pigs, Merms, and Bunnymen.
  • In the trailer for A Winter's Tale, Wee MacTusk also attacks the player.

Mosquito.png Bugs

  • Wee MacTusk will become passive and return to his camp if chased outside of his wandering range, ignoring enemies.
  • When the season changes, the group may be locked out of their camp, and therefore, be active outside of Winter.[Verification Needed]
