The Ancient Orchestrina is a naturally spawning object exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in Return of Them. It can be found in the Ancient Archive biome.

The Ancient Orchestrina is inactive until activated by the Archive Switch. To start a puzzle, a player must drop a Distilled Knowledge on the circle. The puzzle requires stepping on the eight outer circles in the correct numerical order. Each circle flashes a number when stepped on. The order is randomized and the correct sequence can only be found through trial and error.

Making a mistake causes the puzzle to revert 1 step. However, if more than half of the sequence has been completed (5 or more), an error will instead revert progress by 2 steps.

Once solved, the Distilled Knowledge is consumed, and all nearby players get one Blueprint. Players who have already unlocked the item will not receive new Blueprints.

Placeholder.png Trivia

  • The Ancient Orchestrina was introduced in the Forgotten Knowledge update.
  • The circles on the outer edge could represent phases of the moon.
