-Scrapbook Description

The Suspicious Marbles are naturally spawning objects exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in A New Reign. They can be found anywhere on the main continent.

They resemble either a Clockwork Rook nose, a Clockwork Knight Head or a Clockwork Bishop Head. Like other Heavy Items, they cannot be put in the inventory and go directly into the chest slot if picked up. The player gets slowed by 85% and cannot equip any item in the hand and chest slots, otherwise the Suspicious Marble is instantly dropped on ground. Suspicious Marbles cannot be teleported with a Telelocator Staff. The player also cannot use a Lazy Deserter to teleport while carrying a Suspicious Marble.

Their only use is to be placed on the Marble Sculptures of their respective Clockworks.

Prototype.png Tips

  • An easy way to carry these is to ride a Beefalo, since Beefalo are not affected by the player's speed. Walter can ride Big Woby instead, making it easy to carry Suspicious Marble when playing as him.
  • Similarly, Boats can be used to quickly transport Suspicious Marble. However, if the boat sinks the marble will sink with it and must be retrieved with the Pinchin' Winch.
  • You can travel via Worm Holes while carrying Suspicious Marble.
  • Wolfgang can carry Suspicious Marble without speed reduction when he is mighty.
  • Similar to the Worm Hole method, Wanda's Rift Watch can be used to quickly transport Suspicious Marble.

Mosquito.png Bugs

  • There is a bug where completed marble statutes can be destroyed without dropping the suspicious marble or respective sketch, thereby locking players out of completing the Shadow Pieces and Ancient Fuelweaver fights without the use of console commands. The exact cause is unknown but it appears to have something to do with meteors so it may be best to not repair the statutes until ready to fight if your statutes are near a meteor field.
